Homeless Prevention & Rapid Rehousing Program (HPRP)

HPRP is funded by the American Recovery Reinvestment Act and provides new resources to communities to be used for homelessness prevention and rapid re-housing assistance. The program aims to provide housing stability through temporary assistance to households who would otherwise become homeless—many due to the economic crisis—and assistance to rapidly re-house persons who are homeless.

In August 2009, BFHP was selected to operate the Berkeley/North County Housing Resource Center, which provides HPRP services to residents of Berkeley, Albany, Emeryville and Piedmont.
