Jim Huntley joined the staff of Berkeley Food and Housing Project in 2011. Prior to that he was Director of Development at California Shakespeare Theater where he successfully completed a $9 million capital campaign to construct a new facility. Born and educated in Michigan, Jim holds a M.A. cum laude from the University of Michigan and an M.B.A. from Michigan State University. Early in his career, he joined the corporate staff of Ford Motor Company where he worked as Director of Corporate Contributions and Program Office for the Ford Motor Company Fund. Upon leaving Ford in 1995, Jim held a number of high-level positions in both finance and development at various organizations in the Midwest including The Detroit Institute of Arts, The Toledo Museum of Art, William Tyndale College, and Ecumenical Theological Seminary. With more than 20 years in non-profit fundraising, Jim’s experience and expertise covers annual and capital fundraising, planned giving, communications, strategic planning and special events.
