“A financial commitment to our campaign will offer dignity and respect to those who are most in need. It will enable Berkeley to shelter the vulnerable, house the homeless, feed the hungry, empower the voiceless, and offer responsive and compassionate support to those who have long forgotten how it feels to be valued as an individual.”
– Former Executive Director, Terrie Light (the visionary behind the Berkeley Way project)
As is common under standard best practices for capital fundraising, between 10 and 12% of your gift will be allocated to cover the costs of conducting the campaign itself. These costs include staff time, marketing, printing, events, and mailing.
