FREE COMMUNITY MEAL
BFHP has the longest running free, weekday community meal program in the City of Berkeley. Our guests include those who are low-income, unemployed, and people experiencing homelessness.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Community Meal is served to-go, outside of our Dwight Way Center. Each person receives one hot meal to eat right away, as well as bag lunch for later.
Menus are created with nutritional value and taste in mind. Regularly on the menu:
- Baked Chicken & Potatoes with 3-bean salad
- Chili over rice
- Shepherds Pie
- Beef Stew over mashed potatoes
- Pork Adobo over rice
- Mac & Cheese with veggies
A vegetarian option is always available.
BERKELEY RESPITE MEALS
Our Meals Program also provides breakfast, lunch, and dinner for the clients in our Berkeley Respite Program.
